G eneral Motors have never disappointed when it comes to the production of full-size and heavy-duty pickups trucks through their historical truck line: Chevrolet Silverado which has been in production since 1988 having successfully replaced the long-running Chevrolet C/K line.  Chevrolet Silverado is regarded as dependable pickup trucks with the capability of towing anything ranging from cargo, trailers, horses and even heavy equipment’s thanks to its pair of strong and refined V-8 6,2-liter capacity engine providing a class-leading 420 horsepower. Since its inception in 1988. Chevrolet Silverado has undergone an enormous transformation with the hybrid version being launched in 2004. Production of the Chevrolet Silverado is currently in its third generation with production commencing in 2014. The all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. The all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado features improved capabilities, better comfort along with superior technology closely resembling the 2019 GMC Sierra cousin. Chevrolet Silverado Features Performance Chevrolet Silverado engine comes in five options: the 285-horsepower V6 base engine, a 310-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, 355-horsepower, and 420-horsepower V8s, and a proposed turbocharged engine. All engines are fuel efficient approximately running on 17mpg o in the city and 23mpg on the highway. Despite the trucks being overly big, it handles pretty well making you forget you are driving a large truck. Chevrolet Silverado has a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 pounds and a max payload of approximately 3,000 pounds making it one of the most capable trucks in such truck’s class. Interior Silverado’s interior looks classy featuring high-quality materials throughout. The truck host three in Regular Cap models and six in Double and Crew Cab models with an option of choosing the front bucket seats instead of the standard bench on the back. It also has a wider cargo space with the 2019 model having the largest bed in all the models. The bed comes in three length options: i.e.8-foot, 6-foot-6-inch, and 5-foot-8-inch. The entertainment system is top notch featuring the Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, a USB port, a six-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Safety Silverado’s safety features include the Teen Driver and rearview camera along with enabled driver assistance features including a head-up display, rearview camera mirror, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, lane change alert, front and rear parking sensors among other features depending on the car’s model. Spoilt for Choice? Chevrolet Silverado comes in eight trims namely: Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country. Therefore, before choosing the right model, it is essential to consider the engine, bed length and cab style you would prefer. However, most buyers prefer the LT trim as it's at the middle class and offer most to the Chevy’s standard feature along with an economically reasonable price. Final Verdict Chevrolet Silverado is perfect truck closely competing with the more advanced Ford F-150. The 2019 model meets the needs of any truck enthusiast delivering in almost any angle ranging from performance, towing strength, durability, interior to safety standards.
