C
at eyes are the epitome of sexiness! Movie stars, singers, models, and more want to get the perfect
cat eye. Here's how to apply your
eyeliner and make it look great.
Start With the Eyeshadow
Apply eyeshadow along your lash line and along the crease of your eyelid. This will secure the eyeliner and make sure it doesn't rub off. Use a color that matches your skin tone and avoid using a cream eyeshadow.
Angle Your Wing
You need to get the angle of the wing right. This is one of the most important parts, so hold the eyeshadow
brush against your nose. This is the line you should follow to ensure the wings are symmetrical.
Mark it Up
Before you draw your wing, make a dot to mark where it should be. This makes it easier to draw the wing and you can check they're symmetrical before you draw them.
Draw Your Wing
Now it's time to draw your wing. Do this by gently connecting the outer corner of your eye and the dot. Then draw a second line from the dot to the middle lash line.
Fill It In
If you drew your lines quite thin, then you need to fill them in with your eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner is best, but be careful when filling it in. The last thing you want is smudges, and don't go overboard on the shading in.
Made a Mistake?
You should always clean up mistakes with a pointed Q-tip. Don't use makeup wipes or tissue, because you'll smudge the eyeliner. Be careful when removing your mistakes, and do it gently.
Finish It
Some people stick to a
cat eye and leave the rest of their eyes natural. If you want to add a bottom line, then ensure it's subtle and use a lighter shade. Apply a generous coating of mascara and let your
makeup dry.
Now it's time to show off your
cat eyes and be the envy of your friends!
