The New Dodge Ram Diesel
In their lineups for the 2019 Dodge Ram trucks, the legendary diesel engine remains an option in both of the mid-weight Dodge Ram 2500 and Dodge Ram 3500. Even the Ram 1500 have the option of an EcoDiesel engine, being the first in the light-duty pickup market.
While it has all the benefits like spacious seats, more storage capacity, more noise cancellation and driver safety features of standard Dodge Ram 2500; the engine is what makes it different. Instead of a Hemi V8, it has a 6.7 L turbo six-cylinder engine in its arsenal. The 2019 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 has a low-output version with 370 HP, with 850-feet of torque. It can tow up to 19,780 pounds.
Other models
The heavy-duty Dodge Ram 3500 also gets a similar 6.7 L turbo six-cylinder engine option. However, the engine of the Dodge Ram Diesel 3500 is the high-output one. Therefore, the capabilities differ significantly. For a start, it has a stunning 1000-feet of torque, with 400 HP. It is also equipped with all the standard features like massive infotainment screen, advanced safety features such as emergency braking, blind spot warning, etc.

A popular car in the Dodge Ram Diesel collections, the Dodge Ram 1500 is the only light-duty pickup truck in the industry offering an EcoDisel engine. The 3.0 L EcoDiesel V6 engine is made in Italy, the leader in turbo design technology. Equipped with clean diesel technology, as well as B20 biodiesel capability; the engine offers reduced carbon emission. It has an increased fuel efficiency up to 27 MPG on the highway.
