T ruck tires, like every other tire fitted on all vehicles are subject to wear and tear. And while wear and tear is generally due to the use and overuse that tires are subjected to, truck tires tend to have wear and tear far quicker because of the weight that accompanies these vehicles. The weight is not only from the mechanical make up of the vehicle, but also the cargo that most trucks carry around.   The wear and tear is also due to the long distance travel that many trucks make at any given time, which is particularly true with commercial trucks, that mission across cities, towns and sometimes countries moving goods from one point to the next. As such the wear and tear standards that truck tires need to conform and adhere to must be much more stringent than those imposed on passenger vehicles.   It goes without saying that wear and tear that contributes to road accidents can be traced to both passenger vehicle tires as well as truck tires, but the extent to which truck tires experience wear and tear given the long distances they travel as well as the weight they are subjected warrants that they conform to more stringent standards of wear and tear
