1. Swollen and tender breasts

Due to hormonal changes, breasts become sore and sensitive. It takes weeks for breasts discomfort to decrease allowing the body to adjust to hormonal changes.

2. Constipation

Hormonal changes affect one’s digestive system by making it slow digestion process. Due to slowed down digestion, constipation occurs.

3. There is an increase in urination

During pregnancy, the amount of blood elevates, making kidneys to process more body fluids that are deposited in the bladder.

4. Fatigue

Fatigue is one of the early symptoms of pregnancy. The increase of progesterone hormone secretions causes one to feel tired and sleepy.

5. Nausea and vomiting (morning sickness)

Morning sickness can occur any hour of the day or night. It is experienced in the first one month of pregnancy. But not all women experience morning sickness.

6. Bloating

Bloating is an early sign of pregnancy, and it occurs due to hormonal changes.

7. Mood swings

It's one of the early symptoms of pregnancy caused by hormonal changes. During mood swing, one feels weepy and unusual emotions.

8. Cramping

It occurs during implantation. Not all women experience uterine cramping.

9. Food aversions

During pregnancy, one may become sensitive to certain smells and sense of taste may be lost. One maybe craving for a certain type of food and it can be due to hormonal changes.

10. Nasal congestion
