he iPhone XR (pronounced “ten-R”) is the twelfth generation of the iPhone and was announced on September 12, 2018, alongside expensively valued iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max at Steve Jobs Theater by Apple CEO Tim Cook. Design
iPhone XR hardware design is somewhat similar to the iPhone X only that it has larger bezels with aluminum edges different from the stainless steel in the iPhone XS and XS Max.
