rlando is famous the world over for its theme parks. Here's a quick list of the best rollercoasters you can take a ride on.
Mako at SeaWorld
Travelling at nearly 120 km/h, this rollercoaster takes you on a 1,450m-long shark-themed adventure through a 200ft drop and sharp U-turns before delivering you, slightly dizzy, to the park’s lagoon.
Duelling Dragons/Dragon Challenge at Universal’s Islands of Adventure
With names like the Chinese Fireball and the Hungarian Horntail, this Harry Potter-themed double-rollercoaster will have you coming back for more. Loop through two corkscrews and a zero-g roll and hold on to your lunch!
The Manta at SeaWorld
The only rollercoaster designed to make you move like a Manta Ray! You’ll dip and dive, skimming the surface of the pools beneath you. Reaching speeds of 90 km/h, you’ll need to be 137cm or over to ride like a ray!
Hollywood Rip Ride and Rockit at Universal Studios
At a height of 51 metres and a top speed of 105 km/h, this one is not for the faint of heart. The rollercoaster boasts the world’s first non-inverted loop and will have you falling from 17 stories – best for the older kiddies!
Kraken at SeaWorld
Regularly ranked as one of the world’s best rollercoasters, The Kraken is a floorless ‘coaster leaving our feet to dangle while you dip and dive through nearly 1300 metres of track, a 44m drop, camelback rolls, cobra rolls and multiple vertical loops. Must be 137cm or more to ride!
Space Mountain at Disney World Magic Kingdom
An oldie but a goodie, this space-themed ‘coaster dates back to 1975 and is still flying high. Space Mountain brings you indoors at speeds of up to 45km/h an hour – not the fastest on offer but definitely the most tried-and-true.
