ut allergies do not occur to everybody. Individuals with nut allergy are those that don’t have the enzymes that help in digesting the nuts. Nut allergy is severe to some people as some can cause breathing problems. Symptoms of nut allergy vary from individual to individual. Nut allergies depends on the amount of nuts present in food.
Some of signs and symptoms of nut allergy are:
- Abdominal cramps, pain
- Nausea and vomiting
- Shortness of breath
- Diarrhea
- Difficulty in swallowing
- Anaphylaxis, potentially life-threatening reaction that impairs breathing and it can send the body into shock
- Nasal congestion
- Itching of the throat, eyes, skin, mouth and any other part of the body
- A persistent dry, itching rash
- Redness of the skin
- Stomach pain
- Slight, dry cough
- Odd taste in mouth
- Chest pain
- Turning blue
- Obstructive swelling of lips, tongue, and throat
- Shortness of breath and wheezing
- Feeling faint, passing out, general body weakness and confusion due to drop in blood pressure
- Loss of consciousness
