However, it has an option of lineartronic automation and six-speed manual transmission on all its models except the XT. The XT only features the lineartronic auto option. This gives it a higher score in terms of reliability, ease of driving and riding quality. All Subaru Foresters earn a five-star Euro NCAP rating for safety.
