aintaining the good health, as it were, of the septic tank system in one’s home will help avoid the need for regular septic tank pumping. And it’s probably best to avoid regular septic tank pumping because it is a costly exercise, and a regular pumping would need to be done at least twice a year.
The septic tank system that combines the waste from different parts of the house, from the toilet, sinks, and washing machine to the bathroom is a simple enough system that one can afford the time and effort to maintain the system. Maintaining the system of course means that one ensures that there is no significant blockage arising from one of the pipes feeding into the septic system, as well as that there is very little build up that accumulates in the septic system. And while eventually there will be significant build up that occurs in the septic system, it will have taken longer than the average septic system that does not get regular maintenance.
Like most things in life if one looks after something well enough, there’ll be little need for the professionals to swoop in and do work on it. The same is true with septic tank pumping, in that the better maintained the system the less the need to have it pumped regularly.
