A pple is often revered as the pioneering information and communication technology brand, but with prices for iphone 6 – one of their flagship products – being as exorbitant as they are not many people will ever get the pleasure of seeing that the future of communication technologies is upon us. And while many iphone and indeed Apple adherents are quick to point out that the premium cost placed on owning Apple products is well worth it, the fact still remains that most people look at cost as the primary factor when purchasing consumer goods. Not everybody can afford to take on the monthly debt that comes with a acquiring a mobile phone contract in order to own an iphone 6, and certainly only a handful of people have the financial means to come out of their own pockets and pay cash for the device. And with this minority group of people having financial access the majority invariably are left unexposed to the full range of benefits the mobile device has to offer, and as such the brand Apple and its entire line of products will remain nothing more than overpriced commodities for the elite. Obviously the most sensible way to address this is by working to resolve the price issue for this product without compromising the innovation, we all know innovation costs money. A good place to start would be to understand from the consumer perspective what they value more than the prices of the iphone 6, and find a way to up sell that so consumers see the value of the money they’re spending.
