Good household products prevent the need for septic tank pumping

S eptic tank pumping is necessary in order to ensure that the levels of sludge and scum that accumulate in the system do not exceed their normal levels which could lead to the system overflowing. But with the right types of household products used, the pumping would not need to be done as regularly. The septic system feeds off the pipes from the drains in the house, from the toilet to the shower and even kitchen sink. So it stands to reason then that if the household products that are used in these parts of the house, necessarily affect the sludge, build up and scum that result. So rather than using normal toilet paper, it would be best to invest in toilet paper that dissolves in water in order to prevent build up and clogging. Also, the oil and fat on the dishes could be dissolved with detergent that aids this, which will ensure that the oils and fats and left over food residue do not go on to the septic system. It may cost a little more money to buy these special household products, but that cost will pale in comparison to the astronomical cost to septic tank pumping or worse still, fixing a damaged septic system.
