veryone wants abs, even in the winter. Abs are the yardstick that people will use to see if you're really in shape or not. You can be fit, but you're not top tier fit until you have abs. So, how do you get them.
Diet
The most important part if getting abs is actually dieting. People tend to carry a lot of their extra weight around their midsection, and the abs generally aren't particularly bulging muscles. So, in order to have nice visible abs you're going to have to get rid of that fat.
Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts when it comes to losing weight. Fortunately, it's fairly simple. All you have to do is make sure you're not taking in more calories than you need. Exercise will help. The easiest way to do this though is by reducing the number of calories you eat. Take a look at what you eat and see if there's anything that's just empty calories. Things like soda, coffee drinks, fast food and snack food are of course the worst culprits. But any high carb or fat food can be a problem in excess. Go through your diet and see where you can make some cuts. Be sure you'll still be getting the nutrients you need though.
Exercise
The other half of getting abs are of course making sure there's muscles there to show. There are many ab exercises including crunches, roll outs, and twists. Be sure to do your research and make sure you're doing the exercises properly. Also, stick to a program, as overtraining can cause more harm than good.
