iving large since 1897, Cheyenne Frontier Days claims to be the ‘world’s largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration’. Running over 10 days, this Wild West extravaganza runs & ropes from July 20-29 and draws close to 200,000 folks annually.
Tickets to the event will set you back Admission to the park will only set you back $5 but that will only get you entry. Rodeo events are in the range of $20-30, and let’s be honest, if you ain’t here to rodeo, you ain’t really here. Then there’s the ‘Frontier Nights’ entertainment events – this year sees the likes of Florida-Georgia Line and Eric Church take to the stage, as well as a line-up of professional bull-riding thrown into the mix for good measure.
The Garden provides a space where you can break for a beverage to cool-off and when you’ve had your fill of bucking broncos and cavalier cowboys (but seriously, who would?), The Carnival Midway provides rides, fairground grub and entertainment for the whole family.
Chuckwagons, Fiesta Day, military events and the USAF Thunderbirds round things out and all-in-all this is an event that has a little bit of something for everyone.
As Blake Shelton so eloquently and honestly put it, ‘We all got a hillbilly bone down deep inside”, so don’t fight it – get yourself to America’s heartland and mount up!
