Toyota RAV4: 2018 VS 2017

At first glance, the 2018 RAV4 is fairly similar to the 2017 RAV4. The big changes are set to come through with a full new look in 2019, so this is your last chance to grab the updated model in the last of its generation. There are some exciting new changes to your favourite crossover, get reading and then get driving!

The average price for the 2018 RAV4 is typically less than $1K more and if you move toward the Adventure model there are some great additional specs that come with it. Like the option for dynamic torque control and a tow prep package.

The exterior trim available on the RAV4 2018 Adventure also includes 18-inch black alloy wheels (instead of the previous 17-inch original). There are also the very swish black headlight bezels to give you a racer feel.

You now have an additional colour option in the updated Ruby Red Flare exterior paint and if you’re in a cooler climate there are some great cold weather add-ons too. Choose from heated and power cloth-covered front seats, wiper de-icers and even a heated steering wheel.

From a safety perspective the 2018 model matches and exceeds its predecessor. As a top safety pick vehicle, this crossover provides advanced collision-avoidance technology and a radar cruise control. Lane-departure warnings, automatic emergency braking and forward-collisions warning round things off.

Happy driving!
