Dealing With Arthritis
If you are one of the millions of people with Arthritis, you may find that enjoying your day to day life can seem impossible. Here are a few things that may help you deal with the pain and inconvenience of arthritis in your day to day life.
Soaking in a hot bath, taking a hot shower, going to a hot tub, or anything else that keeps you warm and in water is going to help lessen your pain. If you choose to soak in a bath, considering adding epson salts into the water for more relief.
Over The Counter Creams
Over the counter creams such as Bengay will warm your joints, apply a topical pain reliever, and may give you some motion back while they are working.
Keep Your Body Warm At Night
If you notice that most of your pain happens in the morning, it likely means that your joints are getting cold at night. Consider adding more blankets, an electric blanket, or simply turning up the heat to keep your joints warm and mobile.
As painful as it may sound, when you keep moving, your body is better able to deal with arthritis. Try and move your hands, feet, or any other body part that is affected. Avoid taxing your body too much, but instead try and start out gently, building up towards more strenuous activity.
